BARRE – Harry Nadeau, 95, of Veeder Avenue died Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Barre Gardens (formerly Rowan Court) after a short illness.
Born July 30, 1922 in St. Hermenegilde, Quebec, he was the son of the late Napoleon and Caroline (LeBlanc) Nadeau. As a small child he came to this area and was educated in Williamstown schools.
He worked in the Granite Industry until retirement.
On April 23, 1949, he married Evelyn Clark in Graniteville and they made their home in Barre with their only daughter Adelle (Nadeau) Sumner.
Survivors include his daughter Adelle Sumner and her husband, James of Barre; three grandchildren Amy Jacques and her husband, Brian of Topeka, KS; Mark Sumner of Northfield, VT; and Katie Banker and her husband Jeff of Tecumseh, KS; two special great-grandchildren Madison Jacques and Cale Banker; his sisters Alice Walbridge and Theresa Boudreau; several nieces and nephews; and his friend Polly Gallagher, of Warren, VT.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Armand and Roland Nadeau.
At his request, there are no services planned.
