MARSHFIELD - Gregory Scott Wilson, 65, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, with his family at his side.
Born on September 23, 1959, in Montpelier, he was the son of George Henry Wilson, III and Evelyn Doney Wilson. He graduated from Twinfield High School in 1977.
Greg was a kind, loving, and compassionate person who enjoyed the company of his family and especially his three brothers George, Gary, and Geoff. He worked at Washington County Mental Health as a client support person for 25 years and was an inspiration to both the people he worked with along with many others around the Central Vermont area.
He especially enjoyed a good cup of coffee and an afternoon of visiting with his brothers. He loved doing arts and crafts and enjoyed going to Thunder Road. Greg especially loved rock and roll, he was a music aficionado and had a great music collection. He could name any fact about any band and loved making his weekly trip to Exile records to look for something new to listen to.
Greg is survived by his three brothers George Henry Wilson, IV and his wife, Pamela of East Montpelier, his twin brother Gary Stephen Wilson and his wife, Jill of Marshfield, and Geoffrey Paul Wilson and his wife, Ann of Plainfield, and his four nephews and three nieces as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father George (November 17, 2015) and mother Evelyn (October 31, 2001).
The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 3:00 p.m. in the Canadian Club of Barre, 414 East Montpelier Road, Barre. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Vermont Medical Center Kidney Dialysis unit, CVMC, PO Box 547, Barre, VT 05641.
