BARRE - Gregory A. Bartlett, 71, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 23, 1954, in Barre City, to Gloria Kinny (Willey) and Jerrold Bartlett.
Greg grew up on a farm in Plainfield and went on to own and operate a successful excavation business for more than 30 years. He loved family, travel, machinery, westerns, and spending time on the road with Valerie in their RV.
Survivors include his wife Valerie Bartlett (Brault); his sons Nathan Bartlett (Betsy), Brent Bartlett (Miranda), and Tom Bartlett (Audrey); his stepdaughters Megan and (Ian) Ferris and Erika Beaucage; his sisters, Virginia Bartlett, Geri Bartlett, Gaye Christensen, and Mitzi Flemming; and many grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Grace United Methodist Church, 13 Mill Street, Plainfield, with a reception to follow at the Wyoming Masonic Lodge, 32 Hollister Hill Rd, Plainfield. Family and friends may call on Thursday, February 5, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre.
