BARRE – Gordon Albert Blow, 90, of Websterville Road passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
Born on October 14, 1933, in Barre, he was the son of Albert and Flora (Smith) Blow. He attended Websterville Elementary School and graduated from Spaulding High School with the class of 1951.
Following high school, he was drafted into the U.S. Navy and served until he was honorably discharged.
On November 1, 1958, he married Marie Grennon.
Gordon was in management with Rock of Ages from 1951 until he retired in 1990. Following his retirement, he started an antique business with his wife.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a long-time fan of Boston sports.
Survivors include his wife Marie Blow, his sons Gary Blow and his wife, Sara; Gregg Blow, and Grant Blow; his grandchildren Gordon Blow and his wife, Aliza and their son, Hank; Hannah Blow and her two daughters Lily Roya and Stella Roya; and Madison Blow as well as his brother David Blow.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Eddie and Donnie Blow and his sister Catherine Fowler.
The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Lower Websterville. There are no calling hours.
