BARRE – Gerald R. Hallihan, 69, of the East Barre Road passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Woodridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born February 16, 1949 in Barre City. Gerald attended elementary school in Barre and graduated from Spaulding High School with the class of 1967.
After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served with distinction before being honorably discharged.
Upon his return from the Army, he made his home in the Barre area. Gerald was a stay-at-home dad while his children were growing up. Then he worked in the Spaulding High School cafeteria for many years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, sitting out on his porch, playing cards, having a cookout and playing ball with his children.
Survivors include his children Victoria, Patrick, and Trevor Hallihan as well as Trevor’s partner Sarah Bourdeau, all of Barre; two grandchildren Eric and Lillianna; his brothers Jackie and Jim and his sister Betty Tubbs and her husband, Phil. He will be greatly missed by his fur baby, “Lokey”.
A celebration of Gerald’s life will be held at the convenience of his family.
