WEBSTERVILLE – Gary J. Brouillette, 81, of Church Hill Road, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024, at his home.
Born on May 13, 1942, in Burlington, Gary was the son of Ami and Blanche (Chalifoux) Brouillette. He attended school in Enosburg Falls. Following his schooling, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1959 and served as a tank and artillery mechanic until he was honorably discharged in 1962.
In 1963, he married Camilla Mercy in Enosburg Falls. Following their marriage, they made their home in Richford, Barre, and Websterville Vermont. Gary was employed at Hill Martin Corporation (later Tenco) for 49 years, first as a mechanic, then shop foreman, and finally as a salesman before his retirement.
He was a man of faith and a devoted member of the St. Sylvester most recent St. Monica Catholic Church, the Canadian Club of Barre, the American Legion Post #10, and the Knights of Columbus – 3rd Degree. Gary loved to spend time camping, boating, fishing, and talking about the Lord with family.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Camilla Brouillette, and his children Steven and wife Cathleen, Joan, and Michael and wife Kathy, his grandchildren Landen, Celyn, Emily, Zachary, Brianna, Mason, Logan, and Dustin as well as his great-grandchildren Ivory, Reign, Camilla, Phoenyx, Ellie, and Slade.
He was predeceased by his parents, stepmother Evelyn; in-laws Calvin and Molly Mercy, and granddaughter Sofie Robtoy.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate Gary’s life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Monica Catholic Church, 79 Summer Street, Barre. Inurnment will take place in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Lower Websterville in the Spring at a date and time to be announced. There are no calling hours.
