GRANITEVILLE — Frank John Malnati Jr., 78, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on January 17, 1948, in Barre, Vermont, Frank was the son of Frank John Sr. and Lillian (Cross) Malnati. He attended local schools and graduated from Spaulding High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Frank dedicated many years of hard work to the State of Vermont as a Right of Way Agent.
On August 22, 2008, Frank married the love of his life, Jenny (Lussier) Malnati. Together, they built a happy home in Graniteville filled with family, laughter, and the simple joys of everyday life.
Frank was a man who appreciated the outdoors and found happiness in life’s quieter moments. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball, broomball, and riding his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. More recently, he loved mowing the lawn on his beloved John Deere tractor, hunting, and attending shooting events with friends. He was happiest enjoying life at his own pace and spending time with the people he loved most. Frank was also a proud member of the Vermont Shooting Sports Association.
Above all else, Frank cherished his family. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Jenny Malnati; his daughter, Elizabeth Malnati, and her partner, Chandler Stevens; his son, John Malnati; and his adored grandson, Lenox Stevens. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert and Doug Malnati. He was predeceased by his parents.
Frank will be remembered for his quiet strength, hardworking nature, steady presence, and deep love for his family. His stories, guidance, and unwavering support will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center Cancer Center, One Medical Center Drive, HB 7070, Lebanon, NH 03756-0001.
