BARRE TOWN – Francis (Frank) Tedeschi, Jr., 65, Cobble Hill Road, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, after a long illness with his loving family at his bedside.
Born January 26, 1951 in Hopkinton, MA, he was the son of the late Francis and Veronica (Pyne) Tedeschi.
Frank was raised in Hopkinton, MA and he moved to Vermont after graduating from Career Academy in Boston, where he landed a job at radio station WSKI in Montpelier. Many people remember Frank as Frank OT at WSKI.
After years at the station, he became owner of Gusto’s Bar in Barre. This is where he met many life-long friends. For many years he played baseball and hockey where Gusto’s sponsored his baseball team. This was his passion. One of his greatest accomplishments in life was earning his black belt in Karate from Freddie Lapan at Fred Villari’s Studio. Anyone who knew Frank, knew what a more than generous person he was.
Frank leaves his girlfriend, Carol Patterson of Barre Town. Carol unselfishly, gave so much of her time taking care of Frank and making sure his care and comfort was the most important job she had. He leaves behind his brother Richard of Jacksonville, NC; his sister Anne (Flannery) Roberts and her husband, Joseph of Hopkinton, MA. His niece Tanya Tedeschi of Long Beach, CA and his nephew Jeff Flannery and his wife, Debra, along with their two children Shawn and Collin from Marlton, NJ; his niece and goddaughter Lauren (Flannery) Jordan and her husband, Kevin along with their children Lyla and Colton. He also leaves his former sister-in-law Elaine Tedeschi from Lebanon, NH. In addition to his many friends in Barre, Frank leaves numerous childhood friends and relatives in the Hopkinton, MA area.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law Raymond Flannery.
Per Frank’s wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Vermont Humane Society, PO Box 687, Montpelier, VT 05601.
