WASHINGTON - Emma L. Gingras, 91, a long-time resident passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the home of her daughter in Williamstown.
Born on April 6, 1932, in Orange, she was the daughter of Roswell and Linnie (Curtis) Farnham, she was the youngest of fifteen children. Emma married Lee Bishop and they had five children. They later divorced and she married Laurent Gingras.
Survivors include her children Gail Carminati, Mary Felch and her husband, Buck, Brocklyn Bishop and his wife, Lorraine, and Kathy White and her husband, Brian; her grandchildren Tracy Perry (Dave), and Matthew (Nicole) and Mark (Sara) White; her great-grandchildren Nolan Perry, Ashlynn Perry, Logan Hartwell, Austin, Hanna and Tanner White and Max Perry.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her spouses, her son William Bishop, her grandson Jason Turnbaugh, her son-in-law Lani Carminati and her fourteen siblings.
The graveside service to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Washington. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 790, 527 US-302, East Barre Road, Barre, VT 05641, or to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
