Donna M. Lermond

BARRE – Donna Marie Lermond, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, surrounded by family.

Born on August 14, 1949, in Barre City, she was the daughter of Dante and Josephine (Gapit) Mori. She attended Lincoln Elementary School and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1967. After graduation, she attended the University of Vermont and completed the Dental Hygiene Program. She was the favorite hygienist of many children and adults, as she was known to be exceptionally patient and caring.

She was a devoted mother to her four daughters and a warm, loving grandmother to her three granddaughters. She took great joy in the accomplishments of her children, and always made the time to attend athletic or school related events. She had a special love for the holidays and always made them memorable for her children. From her elaborate Easter baskets to her precisely decorated Christmas trees, she always put in the extra effort for those she cared about.  While she fought pancreatic cancer for the last few months of her life, her selfless nature still held strong. She continued to worry for the wellbeing of her loved ones even as her own health declined.

Survivors include her husband, Stephen Lermond, her daughters Christina Shatney (Troy), Jennifer Lermond (partner Adam), and Stephanie Mosley (Travis); her grandchildren Amanda, Alyxzandrya, and June and her special group of friends, “Donna’s posse.”

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Dawn and her brother Donald Mori.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre.
