BARRE – Donald George Belisle, 63, of Granite Street passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at his home.
Born on January 25, 1956 in Burbank, California, he was the son of Gordon and Georgette (Raboin) Belisle. Donald attended elementary schools in Burbank, before moving to Barre in 1971 and graduating from Spaulding High School in 1975.
Donald was employed by the Supportive Employment Program of Washington County Mental Health at Choice Academy.
He was a member of the St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre and the Moose Club of Williamstown. In his free time, Donald enjoyed watching television – sports in particular and especially the Boston Red Sox and NASCAR. He also enjoyed going to Thunder Road.
Survivors include his mother Georgette Belisle and his aunts Pauline Cazzetta of Bristol, CT; Angele Moreau of Barre; Jeannine Dunham of Graniteville; Carmen Chaloux and Mariette Beede, both of Washington; and his uncle Michael Raboin of Orange as well as numerous cousins.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents George and Marie Raboin and his paternal grandparents Bill and Anna Belisle; his uncles Paul, Andre, Romeo and George as well as his paternal aunts and uncles.
The Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Monica Catholic Church, 79 Summer Street, Barre. Following the service, interment will take place in the St. Sylvester Cemetery in Lower Websterville. There are no calling hours.
