Derek H. Sheridan

WILLIAMSTOWN – Derek Sheridan, 21, of Graniteville Rd., passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in the University of Vermont Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born on April 27, 1994, he is the son of Thomas and Birgit (Sander) Sheridan of Williamstown. Derek attended Williamstown High School, graduating in 2013. He worked as the Assistant Bakery Manager at Hannaford’s in South Barre.

Derek loved snowboarding, hiking, hunting, playing his guitar, being outdoors, and adventuring with his friends. He was friends with everyone and touched many lives in such a short time.

In addition to his parents, Thomas and Birgit, Derek is survived by his sister, Colleen Sheridan of Williamstown; his paternal grandmother, Jane Sheridan of Berlin, VT; his maternal grandmother, Gertrud Weyer of Kirchhain, Germany; his aunts and uncles, Patrick Sheridan and his wife Stephanie of Florida, Dirk Schindler and his wife Petra of Kirchhain, Germany, Udo Sander and his wife Nee of Mannheim, Germany; and his cousin Darlene Schindler of Kirchhain, Germany.

Derek’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Williamstown Lutheran Church in Williamstown, VT.
