Dayle F. Lorenz

BARRE – Dayle F. Lorenz, 66, of Hill Street passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home.

Born October 1, 1952 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Dwight and Mildred (Sundam) Lorenz.   Dayle attended Brandon Training School in Brandon and later moved to the Washington County area, settling in Barre.

She was employed as part of the United Employment Services Program at Washington County Mental Health and worked at Ben & Jerry’s and Huntington Homes.

Dayle had a sense of adventure. She enjoyed people and was a great advocate for herself and others. Dayle will be greatly missed.

In her spare time, Dayle enjoyed being with friends, knitting, bowling, dancing, country music Karaoke, and going to camp.

Survivors include her sister Paige Lorenz of Athens, GA; her aunt Claire McDonald and her cousin Joanne McDonald.

She was predeceased by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held at the Hill Street Home, 201 Hill Street, on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Dayle will be interred in the Vermont Veterans Home Cemetery in Bennington, VT in the spring.
