David Guinard

BARRE – David Guinard, 66, passed away on September 24, 2026, at UVM Medical Center.

David was born in Barre on October 3, 1959, the son of Loraine (Gale) and Theodore Guinard. He graduated from Spaulding High School in 1977. On December 24, 1981, he married Maureen McNally.

He spent the last 10 years working at The Granite Group, a place he loved because of the team and the many people he had the opportunity to interact with each day.

David was happiest when he was surrounded by family. He enjoyed traveling to new places and watching NASCAR. He also loved attending races at Thunder Road, where he briefly raced in the Mini Stock division.

David is survived by his wife, Maureen; his three children, Matthew, Amy, and Jarryd; his mother, Loraine; his sisters, Julie (Richard) Bowen and Kathy Tate; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Theodore, and his brother, Jay.

A Celebration of Life, open to all, will be held Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Millstone Hill. A private graveside ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, David requested that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
