David Richard Bolio

WILLIAMSTOWN – David Richard Bolio, 59, of Main Street, died Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
Born on February 20, 1956 in Brockton, MA, he was the son of Richard David and Betty May (Bolio) Bolio. He attended elementary school in Brockton and later attended middle school and elementary school in Worcester, VT and Union 32 in East Montpelier.
David made his home in Williamstown with his longtime companion, Teresa Fanton Bolio. In his early years, he first worked as a bouncer in area bars. Later, he worked on several area dairy farms. More recently, he was a quarryman for Rock of Ages Corporation in Graniteville and worked as a landscaper in the Burlington and the Williamstown areas.
He had attended the Williamstown United Federated Church, was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Club in Williamstown, and was a former member of the Cribbage League along with his brother, Arnold.
David enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, kayaking, and landscaping. He also liked collecting knives, watching wrestling and boxing, playing cards, lifting weights, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his companion, Teresa Fanton Bolio of Williamstown; his daughter, Crystal Verrastro and her husband, Rob of Clearwater, FL; his sons, Justin Bolio and his wife, Sarah of Essex and Steven Ahearn and his wife, Elizabeth of Burlington; several grandchildren; his pride and joy, Journi LeClair; his father, Richard Bolio of Vermont and his step-father, Newell Shonio of Worcester; his godson, Jerry Allen Craig; a stepsister in Virginia; and a nephew, Barry Bolio.
His mother, Betty Bolio; his brother, Arnold Bolio; and a stepbrother and stepsister predeceased him.
His funeral service and celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, September 4, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
