David W. Bailey

WILLIAMSTOWN – David W. Bailey, 78, of Bailey Road passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at his home.

Born on July 17, 1945, in Barre City, he was the son of J. Frank and Hazel (Williams) Bailey.

On June 27, 1971, he married Rebecca Morrison in Williamstown. Together they operated a dairy farm and later raised beef cattle. He also worked several years at Moot Wood Turnings Inc., in Northfield and later Black Bear Wood Products.

He enjoyed camping and fishing at his camp in Brownington.

Survivors include his sisters Dorothy, Blanche, and Edith and his sisters-in-law Marjorie and Elsie and several nieces and nephews as well as special friends and helpers.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, his brothers Richard and Burton and his sister Marion.

The graveside service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the East Cemetery in Brownington where he will be laid to rest next to his wife. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre.
