WILLIAMSTOWN / NAPLES, FL – Cynthia M. Moran, 55, a longtime Williamstown resident, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at her home on Vanderbilt Drive.
Born February 13, 1962 in Barre, she was the daughter of Richard and Jean (Allard) Ruel.
Cynthia attended elementary school in Barre and graduated in 1980 from Williamstown High School.
On September 10, 1983 she married Douglas Moran in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. Following their marriage, they made their home in Williamstown for many years where they had two beautiful children. They later divorced.
Cynthia was a long-time care giver for her mother and father as well as working at Washington County Mental Health for many years.
When she was younger she attended St. Monica Catholic Church. Cynthia enjoyed riding her motorcycle, snowmobiling, caring for and riding horses, doing arts and crafts projects and time spent with her family friends and cherished pets.
Survivors include her son Jesse Moran of Williamstown; her daughter Jenna Moran of Barre; her grandson Paxton of Barre; her father Richard Ruel of Naples, FL; her brothers Richard Ruel Jr., and his wife, Sue Ann of Bonita Springs, FL; Robert Ruel and his wife, Annie of Venice, FL, Roger Ruel and his wife, Rebecca of Williamstown and Ryan Ruel of Orange; as well as four nieces and four nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother Jean Ruel.
A service to honor and celebrate Cynthia’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
