EAST CALAIS – Craig S. Majoros, 81, of East Calais, Vermont passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, with his family at his side.

Born on September 17,1944, in Passaic, New Jersey, he was the son of John J. and Louise (Billy) Majoros. Craig attended elementary school at Euclid School in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and graduated from Hasbrouck Heights High School.

On September 11, 1966, Craig was drafted into the United States Army. He served as a Specialist E-5 medic with the 4th Surgical Hospital, 3rd U.S. Army and was honorably discharged on September 11, 1968.

On April 19, 1980, he married Barbara Christine Wilhelm in Stowe, Vermont. They made their home in Stowe, Craftsbury Common, and later East Calais.

Craig dedicated his career to caring for others, working as a nurse in several hospitals and at Sterling College in Craftsbury.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara C. Wilhelm, his children Steven D. Majoros, Ann L. Majoros, and Matthew J. Majoros, five grandchildren, and his sister Kristine Szuchyt and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother John Majoros.

The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at the convenience of his family. There are no calling hours.
