Charlotte S. Brooks

BARRE – Charlotte S. Brooks, 78, of Camire Hill Rd., passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in her home. Born on February 28, 1937 in Barre, VT, she was the daughter of Walter and Hazel (Aldrich) Straw.

Charlotte graduated from Thetford Academy. She married Wayne Books, and together they made their home in Barre. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide for several area nursing homes. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

Charlotte is survived by her children; Virgil Brooks of Barre, Wade Brooks of Plattsburg, NY, Amber Lambert and her husband Martin of Washington, VT, Cheryl Carroll and her husband John of Barre, Sonia Keene of Barre, and Michael Brooks and his wife Bobbie of Northfield; her brother, Duane Straw and his wife Rachel of Ferrisburg, VT; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
