BARRE – Charles J. Kenyon, Jr., 69, of Sparrow Drive, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at his home with his loving family at his bedside.

Born on October 9, 1953, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he was the son of Charles and Anne (Grywalski) Kenyon. He attended elementary school in Piscataway, New Jersey and graduated from Saint Joseph’s High School, in Metuchen New Jersey in 1971. He went on to attend Newark College of Engineering.

Charlie married Frances Galvacky on October 20, 1990, at a ceremony held in Neshanic Station, New Jersey. The two made their home in Pittstown, New Jersey for many years, before moving to Barre in 2021.

Throughout his working career, Charlie had become a master craftsman and finish carpenter.  He loved to create and build custom furniture and woodwork. He always strove to make things different and unique for the customers he worked with.

Charlie had many hobbies and interests. The most important of these were fishing with Tori, rebuilding cars, along with sailing, camping, watching and feeding birds, going to the beach, being outdoors, spending time with his beloved dog, Rosie. Being a caring and productive member of the community, he has helped many.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Kenyon and his daughter, Victoria “Tori” Kenyon and her fiancée, Christopher McKay. He also leaves three sisters Doris Knudsen, Barbara Wadors and her husband, Ken, and Anne Marie Barletta and her husband, Tom.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother-in-law, Cliff Knudsen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org (Contributions made during the month of June will be matched by Subaru), or you may choose to make a blood or monetary donation in memory of Charlie at your local American Red Cross.

Additional Celebration of Life Mass to be held Saturday, July 15 at 12:30pm at Our Lady of Victories Church in Baptistown, NJ, presided by Rev. Msgr. David Fulton.
