WASHINGTON – Charles J. “Chucky” Holcomb, 62, of Vermont Route 110 passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at his home.
Born on December 12, 1956 in Burlington, he was the son of Annie Hall. Chucky grew up in West Topsham.
On July 4, 1992 he married Arlene Trombly in Barre. Following their marriage, they made their home in Barre before settling in Washington.
Chucky was employed by B & D Beverage, Cumberland Farms and Ames Department store before retiring from Capital Candy after working there for twenty-four years.
He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and as such enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Chucky enjoyed gardening – especially flowers, hiking with his dogs and he was an avid Boston sports fan as well as a boxing fan – he idolized Muhamad Ali.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Trombly-Holcomb; his son Travis Holcomb and his wife, Dawn; as well as his grandson Jeffrey.
He was predeceased by his mother, Annie Hall.
The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Washington Baptist Church, Route 110, Washington. There are no calling hours.
