SOUTH BURLINGTON – Charles Martin “Chuck” Frattini, 58, of Dorset Street and Barre City native, died Friday, September 25, 2015 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington with his family at his bedside.
Born in Barre City on November 9, 1956, he was the son of Louis and Barbara (McKnight) Frattini, Jr.
He graduated with the class of 1974 from Spaulding High School in Barre and in 1977, he received his Associate in Science Degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington.
“Chuck” earned his Registered Nursing Degree from Vermont College in Montpelier in 1979.
He had been married to Dianne Gile, whom he later divorced, but always had remained friends.
He had been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years with psychiatric nursing being a specialty.
Being an auto enthusiast he loved vintage and antique cars, attending many car shows in many places. He will be well-remembered as a caretaker, who always placed others before himself, and a true comedian, who made people laugh with his clever sense of humor.
Besides his mother, Barbara, a resident of Lincoln House in Barre City, he leaves his only daughter and best friend, Valerie Frattini; his brothers William Frattini and his wife, Barbara, of Bath, Maine and Jay Frattini and his wife, Sonda, of Charlotte, North Carolina and a niece, 3 nephews, and more distant relatives.
He was predeceased by his father, Louis Frattini, Jr., and brother Thomas Frattini.
His committal service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Hope Cemetery in Barre City.
