EAST MONTPELIER – Charles W. “Chuck” Bond, 72, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.

Born on January 27, 1954, in Barre, he was the son of James M. and H. Ruth (Taylor) Bond. He attended local elementary schools and graduated from Spaulding High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving in the Construction Battalion until he was honorably discharged.

Chuck was self-employed as a Master Electrician with Bond Electric. He loved his work and the many friends he made on the job.

On August 10, 1991, he married Johnna Kasprzak, of St. Johnsbury, VT. Following their marriage, they made their home in East Montpelier.

His greatest joy was spending time with his sons, Kevin and Andy. He loved snowmobiling, boating, shop time, walking, biking, riding his Harley and spending time with his many awesome friends. His happiest times were spent in Island Pond, camping in Maine, traveling with family and adventures in Florida, Colorado, and Arizona.

Survivors include his wife Johnna, his sons Kevin Bond (Fiancée Taylor Reyome) and Andrew Bond, his brother James Bond (Diane), his sister Rhoda Chickering, his in-laws; Patricia Kasprzak, Trish and Phil Marcell, Joe and Lil Kasprzak, Katy and Randy Reeves, and many beloved nieces and nephews and their children.

He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Ruth Bond, his father-in-law, Joseph S. Kasprzak and his brother-in-law Rob Chickering.

The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre.
