Born October 22, 1929, in East Barre, she was the only daughter of Henry and Hazel (Smith) Bullis. She attended East Barre Elementary School and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1947.

On August 5, 1950, she married Marcelino "Chink" Rubalcaba in the East Barre Congregational Church. They made their home all of their married life in Barre Town where they raised three sons.

Kitty was employed by the Barre City School District for many years, most of the years as secretary to the superintendent of schools, and retired in 1994. Kitty was a longtime member of the East Barre Congregational Church where she served in many different capacities on church boards and councils. Her last position was serving as the memorial fund chairwoman. Her other memberships included the Rebeckah Hastings Chapter of The Daughters of American Revolution (D.A.R.).

Kitty will always be remembered for her gracious smile, contagious laugh and gentle spirit. Her unconditional love for her family and friends will never be forgotten. Kitty's favorite pastimes were spent with her family and grandchildren, cheerleading at their sporting events, entertaining in her home where she never turned down the chance to play a game of cribbage or pitch, motorcycling with Chink and traveling with close girlfriends.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel Rubalcaba and companion Jo-Ann Buzzi, of Barre, and Gary Rubalcaba and his wife, Mary, who now resides in Woodbury; seven grandchildren, Alicia, Katie, Danielle, Michael, David, Hallie Rubalcaba, and Kristi and her husband, Tyler Hill; great-granddaughter Sara Hill; two brothers, Raymon and his wife, Mary Claire, and Larry Bullis and longtime partner, Barbara Taylor, all of East Barre.

Her husband, Marcelino, who passed in 2008, and son David, who passed in 1979, predeceased her. She had a special relationship with aunts Daisy Barden and Shirley Aldrich.

A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 4 p.m. in the East Barre Congregational Church. There are no calling hours. Later interment will be in the Wilson Cemetery in Websterville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the East Barre Congregational Church/Memorial Fund, PO Box 246, East Barre, VT 05649.
