Catherine E. Pecor

BARRE CITY – Catherine Effie Pecor, 97, of Brooklyn Street, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Her family had been at her bedside.
Born on July 28, 1918 in Bolton, she was the daughter of Joseph and Eva (Guyette) Pecor. She attended schools in the Bolton and Richmond areas. Following her schooling, she moved to the Burlington area to work as a house cleaner for many years. Later she moved to Barre where she remained for the remainder of her life and career.
Catherine was an avid cat lover and held a special place in her heart for her own cats. She also enjoyed shopping and going to yard sales as some of her special interests.
She is survived by niece, Henrietta Martin and her husband, Richard, of Westminster, MA., as well as several cousins and friends.
A graveside and committal service to celebrate Catherine’s life will be held on Friday October 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mountain View Cemetery on Sandhill Road in Essex, VT.
