Carla Bardelli

BARRE – Carla Bardelli, 97, a 58-year Barre resident passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at The Landing Assisted Living Facility in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

Born on July 18, 1920, in Gazzada-Schianno, Italy, she was the daughter of Claudio and Adele

(Bossi) Talamona.

On May 5, 1945, she married Angelo Bardelli. They first made their home in Italy, before moving to Barre in 1953. Angelo died on September 19, 2010. A year after Angelo’s death, Carla moved to Cape Elizabeth, Maine to be closer to her daughter.

Carla was a loving mother and homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, walking, cooking and taking care of her family.

Survivors include her daughter Anna McNally and her husband, Joe of Cape Elizabeth, ME; her son Geno and his wife, Peggy Bardelli of Decatur, IL; and her five grandchildren Marisa of Maine; Jonathan of New York City, Emilie of Virginia; Matthew of Georgia; and Anna of North Carolina; as well as six great-grandchildren Penny, Tully and Franny all of Maine; and Luca, Erik and Lia all of Georgia, who knew her as “Big Nonni”.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Angelo, she was predeceased by her brother Ido Talamona. Carla will be deeply missed by family and friends.

A private graveside service was held at the convenience of her family where she was interred next to her beloved husband, Angelo in the Hope Cemetery in Barre.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held later.
