Carl Lamberton

EAST CALAIS – Carl “Cy” Lamberton, 86, of VT Route 14 passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester with family by his side.

Born on August 10, 1938, in Marshfield, he was the son of Aimard and Freida (Brown) Lamberton. He attended Marshfield Elementary School and graduated from Marshfield High School. After graduation, he served in the Vermont Air National Guard.

On May 4, 1963, he married Patricia Bowen in East Calais where they made their home. Patricia passed away on November 25, 2017.

Cy was a lineman for Washington Electric Power Company for 35 years after which he joined his sons at Lamberton Electric for an additional 15 years before retiring.

He was proud of his long-time service to the Calais Select Board and his membership in the Masons for over 50 years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and golfing at the Barre Country Club.

Survivors include his sons Carl Lamberton (Helen) and Wayne Lamberton (Erika) and his daughter Yvonne Lamberton, his grandchildren Jessica, Monica, Jesse, Joelle, Trevor, and Kyler and his great-grandchildren Ames and Nell as well as his sister Carolyn Ennis.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Patricia Lamberton and his sister Barbara Morse.

The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre. Family and friends may call an hour before the service at 10:00 a.m.
