BARRE TOWN – Beverly L. Diemer, 67, of Partridge Road passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin with her family at her bedside.
Born November 1, 1951 in Newport, she was the daughter of Alfred E. and Doris (O’Keefe) Lafoe. She attended Brownington Elementary School and graduated from Lake Region High School in Orleans. After graduation, she attended Lyndon State College and received an Associate of Arts degree.
Beverly married Wayne Valley and they made their home in St. Johnsbury. They later divorced. Then she married Michael Diemer and they made their home in Barre. They later divorced as well.
She was first employed as a cashier at Grand Union, before becoming a sales representative for Phillip Morris for many years. She also owned Jack’s Backyard for quite a few years.
Beverly was a member of the East Barre Congregational Church and served as a deacon as well as a choir and Sunday school teacher. She also was a mentor for children in Barre City.
In her spare time, she enjoyed watching birds and cooking, although most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Alicia Tosi and her husband, Jay of Barre Town; her grandchildren Jillian and Adam Tosi; and her brother Dean Lafoe and his wife, Sue of Marshfield; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Penny L. Valley.
The celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Simply Delicious, 14 North Main Street, Barre. There are no calling hours.
