WEST TOPSHAM – Benjamin “Benji” Beavin, 18, a resident of West Topsham, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Born on December 5, 2006, he was the son of Tim and Sheila (Simonds) Beavin. He attended elementary, middle, and high school in Montpelier. Last year he attended Central Vermont Career Center, Medical Professions, and this year he was enrolled in the Emergency Services program.
Benji was employed as a Health Services Assistant at Margaret Pratt Community in Bradford. He aspired to be a trauma doctor as he loved medical science.
In his spare time, he loved learning about all the different ant species, fishing, hiking, and going to Groton. He loved his pets – leaving behind his pet snake, Milo, three leopard gecko’s and a tiny ant farm.
Survivors include his mother Sheila Beavin and Michael Kroll, and his father Tim Beavin and Peggy Fair, his sibling Forest Tyler and brother Nicholas Beavin, his companion Alaina Jarrett, and his grandparents Becky & Warren Simonds and Kathie & Lee Beavin.
The service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hedding United Methodist Church, 40 Washington Street, Barre. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Central Vermont Humane Society, 1589 VT-14S, East Montpelier, VT 05651, or to the Central Vermont Career Center, specifically the Medical Professions or Emergency Services Programs, 155 Ayers Street, #2, Barre, VT 05641.
