ORANGE – Beatrice A. “Bea” Robinson, 83, of Bisson Road, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin.
Born on October 17, 1932 in Washington, she was the daughter of Ernest H. and Florence E. (Pero) Webster. She attended Washington Village School and Spaulding High School in Barre.
In earlier years, Bea had worked at the former M.H. Fishman and J.J. Newberry Department Stores in Barre, as well as various nursing homes. For 18 years of her employment career, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Company in Barre in capacitor production and in shipping.
She attended the Universalist Church in Washington and was a member of the Riverside Grange in Waits River.
Beatrice lived a life devoted to her family especially to her son, Todd and granddaughters, Trisha and Deena. She loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had strong political beliefs and was a loyal supporter of the Democratic Party.
Survivors include her son, Todd Robinson and his wife, Kathy; granddaughters, Trisha Robinson and Deena Robinson, all of Orange; three sisters, Catherine Nanna of Colchester, Carolyn Pepin of Montpelier and Yvonne LaCross of Berlin; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, six brothers, Marshall, Reginald, Roland, Rudolph, Roger, and Cornelius “Bunny” Webster and three sisters, Ervine Morrison, Joyce Clermont and Virginia Sanborn, predeceased her.
Her graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cheney Cemetery in Washington. There are no calling hours.
Contribution in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
