Barbara S. Pinardi

BARRE – Barbara S. Pinardi, 98, a longtime resident of Newton Street, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2024, at her home.

Born on May 13, 1926, in Barre, she was the daughter of Clifton and Irene (Lawrence) Shuttle.  She attended elementary school in Barre and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1944.

On May 15, 1948, she married Raymond Pinardi in a ceremony held in the Barre Congregational Church.  The two made their home in Barre where they raised their two children.  Raymond passed away in 2008.

Throughout her life, Barbara had many hobbies and interests.  The most important of those being gardening, sewing, knitting, watching game shows, going dancing with her husband on Saturday nights and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Linda Pinardi; her son Jim Pinardi; three grandchildren Jared and wife, Stacy; Eric and wife Jocelyn; and Alyssa Concannon as well as her great-grandchildren Owen, Myla, Tanner, and Graham Pinardi and Aiden Concannon.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Raymond, her brother Clifton Shuttle and his wife, Lucille and her brother Robert Shuttle and his wife, Carole.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Hooker Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre.  Interment will take place in the Hope Cemetery in Barre at the convenience of the family.
