BARRE – Ann F. Bailey, 78, of Merchant Street passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the Woodridge Nursing Home in Berlin with her family at her bedside.

Born September 30, 1941 in Tarkiln, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Arthur and Edith (Rankin) Garneau.   When Ann was a year old, the family relocated to Lyndeboro, NH where she attended local schools.

On July 15, 1961 she married Richard Bailey in Lyndeboro, NH. Following their marriage, they made their home first in Milford and later Nashua, NH, before they divorced.   Ann moved to South Barre, VT, then Williamstown before moving back to Rindge, NH and eventually settling back in Barre, VT.

In her early years, Ann was a waitress before becoming employed as a Medical Records Clerk at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, chatting with her Facebook friends and time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her significant other of twenty-four and one-half years, Steven Gordon Davison of Duxbury, VT; and her children Richard Arthur and Lisa (Grennon) Bailey of Goffstown, NH; Robert Edward and Sherry (Rich) Bailey of Webster, NH; Lorrie Ann (Bailey-Politis) and Mario Leclerc of Barre, VT; and Sharon Jean (Bailey-Feraios) and Thomas Lyons of Rindge, NH; her seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her siblings Richard, Ralph, Ronald and Helen Garneau and Mildred Therrian.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Susan Jean Bailey and her grandson Matthew Bailey; her brothers Raymond and Arthur Garneau, Jr; her sister Lorretta Grey; her former husband Richard O. Bailey; and her mother and father-in-law Grace (Stearns) and Marty Byrnes.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Woods Lodge, 900 Bull Run Road, Northfield, VT. There are no calling hours.
