BARRE – Agnes D. Laliberte, 92, died on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Central Vermont Hospital.
Born on August 30, 1923, in White River Junction, she was the daughter of Dosithee and Carrie (Duprey) Berard.
On March 2, 1957, she married Paul Laliberte in Graniteville. Most of their married life was spent in Barre.
Agnes was a homemaker, a long-time employee of the Country House Restaurant, avid knitter and reader. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Aldrich Public Library.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul, in 2006, and her eldest son, David P. Laliberte, in 2014.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary-Ann Noah Laliberte, of Barre, Lisa Laliberte, of Tampa, Florida and Paula Laliberte, of New York City, a son, Michael Laliberte and his wife, Donna, of Lowell, Massachusetts; two grandchildren, Erin Clark and Katie Clark of Lowell, Massachusetts and four great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by her eight siblings, Leo Berard, Rolland Berard, Sister Rita Berard, Sister Leotine Berard, Francis Berard, Paul Berard, Aura (Berard) Williamson and Rev. Dosithee Berard.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at 12 noon in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 until 11:30am. For a memorial guestbook, visit www.hookerwhitcomb.com
