BARRE – Adele Pshywara, 98, of North Barre Manor, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin.
Born on July 1, 1917 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Novack) Jackym. A homemaker, Adele was married to Joseph Pshywara who predeceased her. They made their home in Bloomfield, NJ and Chadwick Beach, NJ.
While residing in Barre, Adele had attended St. Monica Catholic Church.
During her last months, Adele strove to remain her fiercely independent self. When her health began to fail, many came to her aid. She was most appreciative of the outstanding care she received from everyone at Central Vermont Medical Center where she celebrated her 98th birthday with smiles and a cake. Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, the SASH Program, and her caregivers made her last days at home possible and filled with excellent care. Her caregiver, Rotha was a constant, positive, and engaged presence until the end. Many will miss Adele’s wit and the twinkle in her eyes.
Her family included two daughters, Barbara Dixie Doyle and Patricia Mary Rumph; several grandchildren; and a brother, John Jackym.
Besides her husband, four brothers predeceased her.
Her graveside service will take place in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Bloomfield, NJ on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 1:00 p.m.
